The use professional lighting rig comprising of high specification LED disco light effects along with KAM laser projection. The band also has a professional smoke machine which can be used to enhance the disco. However, many venues do not allow these to be used due to having highly sensitive fire alarm systems. If you are interested in having the smoke machine used at your event, please check that this is allowed by the venue and advise the band accordingly.

 

 

 

As with many modern DJ’s the disco is now run from a laptop. This enables the DJ to carry a vast library of tracks on hard drive which are constantly updated to include the latest chart hits.

 

 

 

For your peace of mind and reassurance, the band carry a spare laptop and hard drive of tracks to every event so there is an instant back-up in the highly unlikely event of computer failure.

The band also carries a second mixing desk to cover any eventualities.

 

 

 

The band uses high power EON 515 powered speakers with an output of up to 900W which is sufficient for event the largest of venues. However, the levels are always optimised to suit each particular venue to ensure the best quality sound.

 

 

 

With regards to the mixture of Ceilidh and Disco for the evening. We can do as much or as little disco during the evening as you want. Generally it's a case of gauging the people as to when to switch over, unless there is a specific plan that you would want us to follow. In most cases, we will do the disco for the final part of the evening, either switching over either after the buffet, of if people are still up for more dancing after the break, we can carry on with the ceilidh and then go onto the disco later. We have our own professional disco lighting rig and if there are specific songs that you want played, then just give us a list sometime before the day and we will make sure that we have them all to hand. Your guests can ask for requests through the evening too if they want.
