December is always a hectic time of the year and as one of the premier ceilidh bands in Edinburgh, HotScotch were kept busy playing for functions throughout the month. These included several regular events such as the annual Merchiston Castle School Highland Ball, the MAPE Christmas Ceilidh for all the PE Students at Edinburgh University, The Ratho Winter Ceilidh and of course the Hogmanay Ceilidh at Assembly Roxy, with Laldie Ceilidhs.

We finished off 2023 with an amazing night playing in Edinburgh's Assembly Roxy for the Hogmanay Ceilidh organised by Laldie Ceilidhs.

HotScotch Ceilidh Band start 2023 with ceilidhs at Glenalmond College in Perthshire, Turnhouse Golf Club, and Edinburgh Ceilidh Club.
