On Friday 1st November HotScotch Ceilidh Band were playing for the Edinburgh Napier University Nursing Graduation Ball. held in the splendour of the Balmoral Hotel in the heart of Edinburgh, a large crowd of over 250 graduates celebrated with a meal followed by ceilidh dancing and a disco.
Earlier in the week we also played for a group of students from an International School in London who were up visiting Edinburgh and taking in some Scottish culture. They were full of energy and enthusiasm and had a great time dancing.
Saturday evening saw us play for the wedding of Mr & Mrs Bowie at Swanston Brasserie. This delightful venue overlooks the Pentland Hills, Firth of Forth and Edinburgh and we had a full night of ceilidh dancing finishing off with long Orcadian Strip the Willow.
Whatever the occasion, HotScotch Ceilidh Band can put on a great night of entertainment and keep your guests dancing with a brilliant selection of ceilidh dances, form the well known favourites such as Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant and Strip the Willow, to some more adventurous ones like Cumberland Square Eight, Troika and the Borrowdale Exchange. Coupled with the option of a Disco or Jazz trio, there is something for everybody.
This weekend we are heading up north to Aberdeenshire town of Banff to play at the Deveronside Club, and then will be in Glasgow at the Hillhead Sports Club.
