Northumberland Wedding Ceilidh

A couple of weeks ago we were in the Northumberland village of Kirknewton, near Wooler. Everybody gathered round the edges of the hall as the happy couple took to the floor for their first dance of the night.

We followed that with two sets of dances which included the Dashing White Sergeant, Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow, Cumberland Square Eight and many more. The hall was decorated with beautiful lights right over the dance floor and a free bar for guests at the opposite end to the band.
