Celebrating a Memorable Summer with HotScotch Ceilidh Band

Unforgettable Events and Venues


Well, what a summer it has been so far! We have enjoyed some amazing spells of sunny weather and a whole host of gorgeous weddings and events. We feel privileged to have played at so many wonderful occasions.


Recently, we have performed at several stunning venues. These include the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel in Glasgow, the historic Riddles Court near the top of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, and Winton Castle near Pencaitland. We also played at The Old Dr Bells Baths and The Rowantree in Edinburgh, as well as Kippilaw House in the Scottish Borders.


School Leaver's Balls and Proms


This time of year sees us performing at numerous School Leaver's Balls and Proms. We have entertained at Runningburn Farm and Ednam House in the Scottish Borders. We are also excited about several nights at Edinburgh's Prestonfield House Hotel. Later this month, we look forward to returning to the wonderful hall in Fortingall, near Aberfeldy.


Joining the Dance


During our ceilidh performances, we guide dancers through the steps. This way, everyone can join in, whether they are seasoned dancers or new to ceilidh dancing. The more, the merrier! We usually perform well-known ceilidh dances like The Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow, Dashing White Sergeant, Flying Scotsman, Military Two-Step, Eightsome Reel, and Canadian Barn Dance. We often finish with a lively Orcadian Strip the Willow.


In addition to these popular dances, we include some lesser-known but equally fun dances. These include The Borrowdale Exchange, Troika, Cumberland Square Eight, and Riverside Jig. Each dance adds variety and excitement to the evening.


Meet Our Team


Paul, our band manager and accordionist, brings extensive experience to the table. He collaborates with couples to plan their ideal night. Paul assists in customizing the entertainment to ensure you have an unforgettable evening to cherish for years.


The combination of Accordion, Fiddle, and Drums creates a dynamic, rich, and balanced sound. This is perfect for an excellent night of Ceilidh Dancing, complemented by professional PA equipment. If you have a different preference, we can arrange other line-ups to suit your needs.


Our popular Ceilidh & Disco Package offers a blend of music throughout the evening to cater to all tastes. A professional disco lighting rig sets the ideal mood for dancing into the night, ensuring the celebrations continue!
